Must share something amusing and also somewhat depressing haha.

I was just reading Kent Hovind’s doctoral dissertation from Patriot Bible University (does that scream “diploma mill” to anyone else?). If you are unaware, Kent Hovind was a popular creationist who started the Creation Science Evangelism ministry… and Dinosaur Adventure Land. Yes, a young-earth creationism theme park… sigh. He is now serving 10 years in prison for 58 different federal counts (mostly tax evasion).

His dissertation so fucking horrible that it is amusing. Just read the beginning:

“Hello, my name is Kent Hovind. I am a creation/science evangelist. I live in Pensacola, Florida. I have been a high school science teacher since 1976. I’ve been very active in the creation/evolution controversy for quite some time. As an evangelist, God has given me the opportunity to preach and teach the wonderful story of His marvelous creation over 300 times each year to churches, schools (public and private), parent groups, youth groups, on the radio, and in university debates.”

… All I can do is /facepalm. Seriously, ugh this is a DOCTORAL dissertation! I would fail an English class in high school if I started a paper like this.

“I would like to trace the history of evolution beginning with the fall of Satan from Heaven.”

-_- I don’t know whether to laugh or be incredibly pissed off at the stupidity of some people. I’ll spare you the horrors of the rest of this piece of shit, but if you really feel like losing all faith in humanity while laughing your ass off then be my guest.

Anyway, more info on my Winter break plans… I should be leaving to visit family on Saturday/Sunday. In other words, I probably won’t be online much in the next couple weeks. Now, don’t get your panties in a twist. I’ll still be posting blogs, responding to emails/comments, and be on yahoo. I just probably won’t be making videos or anything… Who wants to work during Christmas break? Even if it is fun and easy work. :p I will just be too busy.
